Default Are 36-37" hips too big for the modeling industry ?

I was going to try out for a modeling contest that was at my local mall but I stopped myself because of my hips. My measurements are 34-24-36.5 and I heard that models' hips can be no bigger than 34".

I measure around my buttocks as well which I think is where you are meant too measure. If i do not include my butt I would be 34-24-34. (I look like a hourglass from the front but I have a bit of a booty)

Are my hips holding me back ??

Big bouty is in and big hips won't hold you back. However, small intellect numbers may.
